Our company

Volunteers have been checking and servicing portable fire equipment for the community since 1945 when CFA came into existence.  The Dandenong fire brigade has been no exception, continuing to serve businesses by providing inspection services right up to the present day. 

Just over ten years ago, Dandenong Fire Equipment Maintenance (DFEM) was formed to ensure servicing of the ever growing business and industrial community could continue.  This means we can now take on essential service inspections that we previously were unable to do under the CFA banner, and are in a better position to help your business.

We currently have four technicians on the road in local areas and someone in the office five days a week which means available staff to look after your needs.

We are now currently helping CFA brigades in eight brigade areas as well as DFEM clients around the south and eastern suburbs of Melbourne, with sites as far away as Laverton and Melbourne airport.

We also sell equipment such as extinguishers, hoses, cabinets and brackets, and can guide you to the product that best fits your requirements.

DFEM grew from servicing portable fire equipment and are not maintenance people who service extinguishers or fire hose reels on the side.  This means we put servicing and inspecting first, ensuring the job is done right.  Our aim is to ensure you and your site are safe and compliant.

We have over 70 years of combined experience in our field, we can help with most things to do with essential services.  And if there is something we don’t know, we will do our best to find answers to most questions you may have!

  • Our technicians are the right people for the job :
  • Fully accredited in Asset Maintenance - Certificate II
  • Hold the correct VBA Plumbing Registration to service hose reels
  • Have a current Victorian Working With Children Check
  • Wear easily identifiable uniform and carry CFA id
