DFEM's brigades

what is cfa fem?

FEM is the standard Country Fire Authority abbreviation for Fire Equipment Maintenance.  This involves the inspection and maintenance of portable fire equipment such as extinguishers, fire blankets and fire hoses.  CFA volunteer brigades have been protecting lives and property in Victoria through FEM since 1945.   With a range of programs, developments and research they have grown into one of the largest and most capable volunteer-based emergency services in the world.

  • Firefighting and brigade support vehicles including in excess of 70 forward command vehicles
  • Extensions to stations
  • Support for operational response and training

Why use DFEM?

We are a private contracted company that can conduct servicing of portable fire equipment for Country Fire Authority fire brigades.

That means your payments directly contribute to the volunteer brigades in your area.  Funds can not only go towards items such as equipment for vehicles, including fire trucks, they can also be directed towards replenishing fire fighting gear such as clothing and helmets that may have been compromised during active operations.

What does that mean for you?

As you will know, all CFA fire fighters are volunteers.   By ensuring local brigades are funded, we can help to make it easier to keep trucks and crews on the road in local areas, and of course during bush fire season.

Your use of local volunteer brigade services will provide vital funding to make this happen.  Below are a list of all fire brigades we conduct servicing for and that you can help!  Click on the brigade picture for their location.
